Associated Sixth Form Newsletters
Dear all
Students from the Associated Sixth Form are celebrating impressive examination results. This cohort of students were greatly disrupted by the pandemic and did not have the opportunity to sit GCSE examinations and therefore faced huge pressure in the summer. This was compounded by Ofqual's decision to demand a return to pre- pandemic outcomes with no protection of grades. In this context we are very proud of each and every one of our students. We are delighted that outcomes are in line with those of 2019, despite the extra challenges these students have faced.
The majority of our students are taking up places in higher education including the very top universities in the country. Around 90% of university applicants have secured places at their first or second choice university and amongst the employment highlights are students taking up positions at Sandhurst, in civil engineering and in project management. The diversity of courses and other pathways students are progressing to reflects the amazing opportunities they have taken advantage of during their time in our Sixth Form.
We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our students, staff and the support they have received from parents and carers to achieve these outcomes. We wish all our Year 13 students the very best and we look forward to hearing about their future successes.
