Reports

Reporting Achievement
Full reports are issued annually to parents giving an account of progress, attainment, attitude to work and targets for improvement.

In addition an ‘Assessment and Performance’ report is issued once a year to provide a set of grades and support ongoing monitoring.

An individual report can be obtained at any time during the year by those parents who, for a variety of good reasons, request it.

The DCSF holds annual results for St John Fisher Catholic High School on the following links:

Recording Achievement
Form Tutors and Year Heads guide and support the pupils in their year through a process of self-review. Subject teachers and Heads of Department advise pupils on their strengths and weaknesses, assisting them to set achievable targets, plan ahead, and develop skills of self-assessment.

Homwework
Homework is recognised as an essential part of the process of education, helping to develop good study habits, self-discipline and a reasonable attitude towards schoolwork. It is the policy of the school that homework is set for all pupils, the tasks being appropriate to individual abilities, the nature of the subject and the aspect of study undertaken. Homework can take various forms, written work, reading, role learning, enquiry, research, etc. The essence of the work lies in the quality produced and not in the length of time taken. Hence the following table should be regarded as a general guide and not as a hard and fast rule:
